Maj. Gen. Nasir Dilawar Shah, HI(M) (Retd) – Rector FUI accompanied by Maj. Gen. Prof. Dr. Imran Fazal, HI(M) (Retd) and Prof. Dr. Amir Gulzar – Register FUI visited Bournemouth University (BU), United Kingdom on March 8, 2022.
The purpose of this visit was to explore collaborative avenues in the fields of Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy; Progression arrangement in the field of Management Sciences; Students and Faculty exchange initiatives; and join research in mutual disciplines.

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) Pakistan and the Maramara University, (Istanbul, Turkey) have entered into an MOU agreement to foster academic and educational cooperation and mutual understanding between two academic institutions.

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) Pakistan and the University of Barcelona (UB), Kingdom of Spain entered into a cooperative framework agreement (CFA) to promote scientific, educational and technical exchange in areas of mutual interest

Mr. Shakaib Naqvi, Investment Associate of VC Capital firm “Zayn Capital”, visited Foundation University Business Incubation Center (FUBIC) on Wednesday, 5 th January 2022. During his visit, Mr. Syed Taimoor Hassan (Manager FUBIC) gave brief introduction of every startup and the FUBIC. Mr. Shakaib Naqvi had brief meeting with FUBIC’s IT based startups Rexonic, Tech World Solutions and N1 Developers.
Mr. Shakaib showed interest to establish collaboration with FUBIC to invest in potential startups.

Foundation University Business Incubation Center (FUBIC) hosted Mr. Yasir Amjad, Director CENTIN, UMT Lahore, for an interactive talk session on “Managing Challenges of Startups with Studies/Employments” with FUBIC startups and students of final semester on 13 th January 2022. The session was extremely informative and underlined all the key challenges faced by startups with studies/employments as well as solutions to cope up with them.

Foundation University Islamabad has become a Member of the EURAS- Eurasian Universities Union on Jan 05, 2022. This membership has paved the way for FUI to explore and create collaboration with other academic institutions in the Eurasian region.

On January 05, 2022, Foundation University Islamabad and Pelican Tours signed an MOU agreement to foster and promote Industry-Academia linkage in the field of Tourism & Hospitality.

ORIC had brought Mindstorm Studios, San Francisco to FUI's students and encouraged them for Summer Fellowship Program, which is an 8-week long nationwide program, tailored specifically for students to cover different facets of game development such as Game Design, Game Programming and Game Arts. This year, 1600x students from all over Pakistan applied for this program, out of which 3x were from Foundation University Islamabad.

Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) hosted the visit of Director ORIC, Health Services Academy (HSA), Dr. Mubashir Hanif on 28th Sep 2021 at the Islamabad Campus of Foundation University Islamabad (FUI). The visit was moderated by Manager Innovation & Commercialization Mr. Abdul Moeed Qureshi, couple of fruitful meetings were also held with Dept of Community Medicine and College of Nursing. Dir ORIC-HSA expressed that “It is inspiring to see the institutional commitment and discipline at FUI Islamabad Campus.
