1st Meeting of Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) 

The 1st meeting of the Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) Institutional Quality Circle (IQC), chaired by the Maj Gen Muhammad Kaleem Asif, HI(M), (Retd), was held on December 5, 2024, in the FUI Secretariat Committee Room. The purpose of the meeting was to promote academic excellence and ensure adherence to the highest standards in higher education.
The Director of Quality Assurance briefed IQC members on the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) revamped Quality Assurance framework, Pakistan Precepts, Standards, and Guidelines (PSG-2023). The components of PSG-2023, including the Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE), Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) and Judgemental frameworks, were thoroughly discussed.
The Director also presented the annual targets assigned by HEC’s Quality Assurance Agency, alongside the DQA Activity Calendar for 2024-25. A proposal to establish the Student Council for Academic Learning and Enhancement (SCALE) was deliberated, and the IQC approved the DQA Activity Calendar and the composition of the IPR and PREE Committees.
