Faculty Related Responsibilities:-

  • To undertake staff work of selection of Directors and Deans of the campuses. He shall also initiate cases for their confirmation after completion of probationary period and renewal of service contracts.
  • Processing of induction and promotion of regular faculty, their contracts, probations and release/retirement matters.
  • Processing of contract-inductee faculty to include demonstrators, Medical Officers and all other faculty members inducted on contract basis. Shall also deal with their probation reports, renewal of contracts, release and retirement matters.
  • Processing of cases respecting hiring of visiting faculty of the two campuses.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of service records, leave record and AERs of Professors and Associate Professors of both campuses.
  • Processing of induction of FCPS Part-II trainees, their contracts and release / retirement matters.
  • All matters pertaining to University Ordinance and faculty related Service Statutes, Leave Statutes, Rules of Business.
  • All matters pertaining to the implementation of Organograms concerning faculty.


  • Board of Governors Meeting (Chaired by Chancellor FUI).
  • Executive Committee Meeting (Chaired by President FUI).

Miscellaneous Duties:-

  • Preparation and issue of general instructions for the University Convocation to the Campuses.
  • Preparation of visit programs of VIPs to the University.
  • Preparation of University Presentations.
  • Any other tasks assigned by Registrar/Rector FUI.



The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI), a project of Fauji Foundation was established under a federal charter in October 2002. The University's programmes of study have been duly accredited by Higher Education Commission (HEC), National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC).
