Self-Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE)

Foundation University conducted Self-Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) on March 29-31, 2021. The IPE panel comprised of one external reviewer i.e Dr. Farrukh Idrees, Director QEC, Rawalpindi Medical University and five internal reviewers including Prof. Dr. Fazal Rahim, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Brig. (R) Dr. Muzammil Hassan Najmi, Associate Dean Basic Sciences, FUMC, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shaheen, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and IT, Prof. Dr. Furqan Ahmad Siddiqi, Principal FUIRS, Dr. Sidra Aamer, A/Associate Dean Basic Sciences, FUCD.
The self-review process was facilitated by the Department of Quality Assurance in coordination with all the academic and administrative departments of FUI.
The objective of the IPE is to evaluate the performance effectiveness of the university based on 11 Quality Standards defined in IPE Manual of HEC. The standards outline major areas that higher education institutions need to focus on in order to secure recognition for its good governance and imparting quality education to students.
The review process commenced with a brief introduction of the Self-IPE processes and a presentation on the Compliance Report of IPE 2017-18 by Engr. Umair Naseer, Manager Academic Assessment, QA. Afterwards, the University Portfolio Report (UPR) along with evidences of responses to questions listed under the 11 Quality Standards was thoroughly reviewed by the IPE panel.
The second day of the IPE was dedicated for meetings with the academic and administrative heads of departments and faculty to examine the quality of processes at the University. The panel also toured the campus and visited the library, classrooms and laboratories to observe the facilities available on campus. The panel appreciated the efforts of Foundation University in maintaining and enhancing the culture of quality. In the exit meeting with Rector FUI, the Self-IPE panel members shared their recommendations for further improvements in the governance, infrastructure, teaching & learning process of the University.
The third day of the IPE was utilized for preparation and completion of the reports by the panel members and they shared their recommendations with DQA for preparation of compliance report.

The University's programmes of study have been duly accredited by Higher Education Commission (HEC), National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC).
