FUI Faculty in HEC Capacity Building Program (Phase-2)

The Higher Education Commission (HEC), in collaboration with the British Council (BC), under its program titled “Pak-UK Education Gateway”, organized a four-day “Researchers Capacity Building Program” on September 5-8, 2022 for the selected researchers whose NRPU Projects couldn't be approved for funding. Dr. Vaughan Shilton and Dr. Marco Van de Wiel from Coventry University UK were the resource persons who used a variety of techniques including direct delivery, group activities and depicted individual work during the training sessions.

Prof Dr. Rooh ul Amin and Dr. Sadaf Ahsan from FUSST, whereas Dr. Hina Shafi and Dr. Saba Murad from FUCP attended the training during the second phase of the program.

The training mainly focused on the vision of a grant proposal to enhance the chances of its success, the importance of funding, KPIs, quality of research and also how to measure outcomes, output and impact of the grant proposal. The fruitful outcomes that were obtained from the meeting include networking and collaboration to maximize the chances of winning grant proposals, promotion of interdisciplinary research, defining the priority areas of research aligned with the needs of the country, peer reviewing and peer feedback for preparing the final draft.
