Information security (IS) is designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of computer system data from those with malicious intentions. Confidentiality, integrity and availability are sometimes referred to as the CIA Triad of information security. This triad has evolved into what is commonly termed the Parkerian hexad, which includes confidentiality, possession (or control), integrity, authenticity, availability and utility.

The MS (Computer Science) comprises of both course work as well as research component. The program consists of four core courses and a specialization track of four courses. The department offer optional courses depending upon the specialization(s) of available faculty.

Basic Info

  • Duration: 1.5 - 4 Years
  • 16 years of education preferably with 4 years degree program of BS (SE/CS/IT/EE/CE) in science/engineering discipline. A minimum CGPA 2.0 out of 4.0 or 60% marks in case of annual system is required.
