MESSAGE FROM HOD

The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), having an outstanding Engineering faculty members and updated program specific lab facilities which ensures that the graduated engineers should be equipped theoretically with hands-on practical knowledge of modern engineering tools. We are providing a conducive environment which includes not only class and lab learning, but also co-curricular activities. It enables our students to grow professionally as well as personally and ethically.

Electrical Engineering Department are offering undergraduate [ B.Sc. Electrical Engineering (General degree program)] and graduate degree (MS Electrical Engineering program). We have a highly qualified faculty members with a vast working experience both in academia and industry which helps them to teach students as per demands of industry. A high standard of class teaching is provided, along with updating curriculum as per HEC guideline periodically after having a gap analysis carried out in established processes of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) under the Outcome Based Education (OBE) system. In OBE system, the progress of students is continuously monitored and assessed against the targets set for them in the courses or other academic activities. The deficiencies and gaps are pointed out as outcomes of these assessments and are ensured to be addressed in CQI process well defined in the department.

We aim to produce graduates with state of the art skills in the domain who could conveniently align themselves with industry, government or entrepreneurial endeavors to demonstrate professional advancement hence becoming an asset for the nation. In all these academic engagements we do have an objective to make certain pursuance on high ethics.

Our alumni and current students are making novel and innovative contributions in academia and professional industry across the globe. In order to be in pace with the current trends in the market and upcoming technologies, we keep a close eye on our curriculum updating as with Higher Education Commission (HEC) as well as on the mechanism of instruction.

All the programs in the department are duly accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) [OBE Level II] and HEC Pakistan. We are meeting the international standards of evaluation process recommended by Washington Accord PEC. I strongly encourage the faculty and students to pursue academic, creative, curricular, and co-curricular activities to enhance their knowledge, skills and personality traits.

I welcome you all to the department of electrical engineering.

Dr. Abdur Rehman
